The Polaroid Originals neutral density filter was developed to use faster-speed 600 film in Polaroid(™) SX-70 cameras (learn what neutral density filters do here).
To install the neutral density filter onto a film cartridge, follow these instructions:
- Take one neutral density filter. Note that the filter has eight flaps: two longer and six smaller ones
- Place the neutral density filter over the cartridge, on top of the dark slide, with the two longer flaps facing the direction of the slot where the photo ejects.
- Push the six smaller flaps under the cartridge rim. The two longer flaps face outwards, locking the filter in place and preventing it from being ejected with the darkslide or photo. See the images below to check that your filter is correctly installed.
